So for the record -- though I know I'm already two games and 23 assists late -- Allen Iverson and 'Melo are going to make it work in Denver. AI now has a real teammate for the first time in, well ... ever. The cat's always had a distributor in him, but never anyone worth distributing to. This year's the practice run, and next is the victory lap. Hate all you want, but we in here talkin' about practice, man. We talkin' about practice.

So I kind of didn't update bcbarbershop.com within the last seven days. This is due to my impressive talent for preparing for a trip home (by, say, putting my laptop power cord, cell phone and iPod chargers and wireless card in a mini-bag) and then not being prepared when I am home (by, say, leaving that bag in my bedroom in Oneonta). On the plus side, I'm currently in the middle of three poems at once, and have clearance to add several new musicians/poets to The Soundtrack. So the update, when it comes, will be substantial. I'm liking these new joints. There's a couple of good concepts. You'll have to wait and see, kids. Enjoy your gift getting or chinese and a movie. Jews.

I'm going to update bcbarbershop.com this week. Look for it in the next few days. Any band recommendations -- preferably of the "you know someone in them" variety -- are welcome. I like new music, and pretending that you're all discovering the cool ass people I put up there, like recent addition Aurora Rose or that everpresent stalwart, theFoundation.
